" The most important reason that I love working for Royal LePage is the tremendously co-operative spirit evidenced by it's true professionals. It's the synergy of meeting everyone's best expectations." David and Linda M. Success Story - The House that almost Slipped Away! David and Linda M. were referred to us during the summer via Royal LePage Relocations due to a job transfer, with Petro Canada, from Calgary to Oakville. They arrived with the idea of investigating rural and semi-rural properties around the area, meaning we had a considerable geographic region to cover. However, on Day One we viewed what turned out to be an exceptional home in West Oakville - a very unique country-in-town-type property - huge treed lot with access through a gate onto adjacent park land. A lovely goldfish pond in the garden. Casey the yellow lab was going to love this! A charming and very well cared-for home. But this was Day One, and Linda and David had not yet checked out available rural properties, north of Oakville. So on Day Two of the search we saw the lovely rural opportunities around Oakville. By the end of the week, and many miles and homes later, we determined that the West Oakville property was still the first choice. But, sadly, by that time the home had sold already, conditional only on routine financing. Linda and David were devastated. They flew home. All we could do was ask the listing agent that if, by some miracle, this first deal should die, to call us first! Well, we truly believe it was Linda's powerful conviction that this, being the perfect house for her, determined what happened next. No sooner had the M.'s returned to Calgary than we received a frantic call from a very desperate listing agent. The deal was dying, and were we still interested? This was a first! Though shocked and thrilled, Linda and David put an offer together long distance, and are now living very happily in this idyllic setting, right here in Oakville. Casey is equally joyful with his new nature-abundant abode.
This particular happy ending was sheer karma, for which we are all
absolutely delighted.
Happy Days in this lovely home to Linda, David
and the beautiful lab Casey!
SUCCESS STORY - "VirtuallyOakville.com International Sale - Jacqui B. and Mike P. Jacqui B. contacted us by e-mail about a year ago after locating our website on the internet in a search for Oakville, she found us through OakvilleOnline.com. She was in the throes of selling a home in London, England, while living and working in Toronto. Everyone was very excited when we thought Jacqui's London house had sold. Then the deal fell through - and again - and again - as deals often do in Britain. This lasted for about a year. They wanted to find their new home in the Oakville/Burlington area, and Jacqui spent several evenings and weekends checking our "Daily Online Hotsheet" service via email, then drove the neighbourhoods, determined the proximity to amenties, and of course the homes themselves. So we rode this out until Fall, when a thoroughly thrilled Jacqui called to tell us, her London house it sold! and the "money is in the bank". Jacqui and Mike her fiance could now househunt in earnest. It took just one weekend to blitz through about 10 houses to find the perfect new home for Jackie and Mike - a cosy bungalow with a finished pine basement in Oakville's west end. Fabulous kitchen. Gorgeous pie-shaped lot, southwest facing with the sun setting through the trees - Just perfect... and to confirm this, Mike and Jacqui enjoyed a 2 hour tour of their home with Ian C. of the Carson and Dunlop Home Inspection Company, our special gift of thanks to them.
Jacqui and Mike have the special place in our hearts for being one of our very first international internet contacts who have bought a home in Oakville using "Virtually Oakville.com". Both they and we are quite excited about this, as always. Mike and Jacqui (and Gus the cat) will be in an Oakville, Canada, home of their own by Christmas.
It has been a great pleasure working with you,
Happiness and Health to you both!

Family - Welcome Back Home - Singapore to Oakville! Gary and Sue, their daughters Sarah and Erinn, and the newest addition to their family, son Boreth, have just returned to Canada. In 1996 Gary was offered an exciting 2 year assignment to the centre of the Pacific Rim, Singapore. A truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime awesome experience for Gary, Sue and their girls. The other side of the world transfer meant selling their Wedgewood Creek area home we'd found for them a few years previously. Then it was off to the Far East for a whole new world of adventure. When it came time to transfer home again (somewhat reluctantly), we corresponded via email and began the search for the next house back in Oakville. Although, the window of time to see homes was limited, and despite a limited supply of properties to suit their needs, we succeeded in finding the Mistak's new Falgarwood area home. Sue briefly saw the house, but had to return to Singapore to begin moving preparations before the negotiations were complete. So we emailed her and the kids, in Singapore, a room by room, virtual photo walk-through of their new home. This home met so many of their criteria - it is close to friends, schools, and to Gary's brand new office location near the airport. Congratulations Gary, Sue and Kids! Welcome home and much thanks for your continued support and patronage! Wishing you all the best. ![]() Gary, Sue, Erinn, Sarah and Boreth We first met Yasmin and Nasir early in the year at an Open House held at one of our listings. As we talked, we learned of Yasmin's upcoming transfer with the Ontario Government, through Royal Le Page Relocations Dept, and offered the K.'s our Buyer Agency services. Yasmin's new job was located in the Town of Milton, and Nasir needed access to the GO train for his job commute to Ontario Hydro. And so began the search for just the right house. After a few weekends of seeing the different neighbourhoods and housing available, we located the right match. This home was listed in our office, so we negotiated a "dual agency" offer with each agent working for their own clients. The current owners of the home invited Nasir and Yasmin in to visit after the deal was negotiated to talk about all the upgraded features and the joys and intracacies of the inground swimming pool. Definitely a wonderful way to start a new job in a new town. Congratulations to Yasmin and Nasir from all of us at Royal LePage! May you enjoy many years of happiness in your new home. ![]() Yasmin, niece Sima, nephew Alim, and Nasir Referred by Ekke Wigboldus, one of our Royal LePage Associate Broker Network members from Cambridge, Ontario. Ekke introduced me to his friends, Peter and Kathy D. - Ekke had been their best man - who were transfered with Bell Canada from Ottawa. On their first visit Peter and Kathy made a tour of Oakville and our neighbourhoods to determine where they would feel most 'at home' and for us to find out the type of housing they preferred. We viewed a number of houses that first weekend and then, with Kathy back in Ottawa, Peter came out to view more homes on weeknights after work. We set up our exclusive online Daily "Hotsheet" service, providing the D.'s with the New Listings via email. They were able to see the Oakville market as it changed on a daily basis, with listings, sales, and price reductions. When a potential listing came online, Peter was quick to come out and see it, and we were able to send the photo via email to Kathy in Ottawa. After several weeks, a listing they had seen previously and liked, suddenly reduced in price. I was on vacation, so Helen Mirrlees, my associate, negotiated an excellent "dual agency" offer on a lovely Glen Abbey home on a quiet crescent. John Reiter, our mortgage specialist arranged the best financing terms available to complete a total team effort. Well done everyone! Congratulations to the D. Family, and welcome to Glen Abbey, Oakville. Thanks Ekke, look forward to working with you again. ![]() Ekke, Carolyn and Leanna Wigboldus & Peter, Kathy, Jamie and Annie D.
